A Page Out of Donkey's Book
In the morning... I'm Making Waffles!
Every Sunday morning, the Bear and I make waffles.
The bear assists me as pictured by helping me put ingredients into the bowl. He has to put a pinch of "magic powder" into the mix to make it tasty. (Magic powder is none other than plain old Morton salt. :) )
I mix it all together, then he stirs and stirs with his spoon. He is under the impression that the longer he stirs, the more waffles there will be.
I found a fantastic waffle recipe* on the internet, but alas, even though it found great favor amongst the tribe, I was compelled to improve upon it.
I tossed in a few new ingredients, mixed it up in the blender, crossed my fingers, toes, and eyeballs, and presented DramaMama with the first from the Mickey Mouse waffle iron. I cringed as fork traveled from plate to mouth.
My heartbeat quickened as she began to chew.
The suspense grew until.....
"That is SOOOOO good!"
Apparently the Mad scientific experiment was a success and Weezilsteins monster was in reality a tasty treat.

Dave,
I love it! The more he stirs the more waffles! What a great kid concept. See, they are smarter than us. They can take concepts you and I would dismiss immediately and make them plausible. Even reality.....

The Bear is my fave: he should have his own blog
Hey Dave,
Thanks for dropping by. I shouldn't even be on here, because I've only logged 41 words today for NaNoWriMo...ah well. Tomorrow's another day.
I'm so happy to hear about you and DramaMama. May I interview you for the success story section of my blog? And for any possible tips for the long distance dater?
(I hope you say yes)
Peace,
Abby(liqua that is)
Abbyliqua:
That name cracks me up. Perfect.
That would be fun to be interviewed, I'm Sure DramaMama would love that.
Her blog is: http://dramaqueensguide.blogspot.com/
I'm at about 230 words with NaNoWriMo. I tried last week to come up with a story idea, but tonight started with bupkis.
I now at least have an idea and some slapped together words.
I am putting up another blog to sport my crap for NaNoWriMo. That's at:
http://davethefictionwriter.blogspot.com/
I will be putting a link on Weezil Breezes to it.
I did a little math, and we need to be writing about 7 pages a day to make 50,000 words.
Good Luck and welcome to our writing community.
Dave-
I've been through here before but stopped to give you a more serious look through on the recommendation of Eric (Blogging Boss.) I really like what you have here. Your love for your family is obvious. I think you're gonna go on the 'ol blogroll.

WOO HOO!!
Blog Rolls... AUGHLLLVVLLGGGHH...
Wait, those come with butter right?
:)
"He is under the impression that the longer he stirs, the more waffles there will be."
LOL!!!!
Oh, I love it.
What a great dad/son picture!!
Oh, and while I'm over here tippety-typing away:
The following is NOT optional: I SIMPLY MUST see a photograph of you as Commander Riker. Absolutely. And as soon as possible, please.
That's an order, Number One!
I'd like to see that too. I don't believe I've seen that pic...does one exist????
I love waffles...alas no waffle maker...so I make do with pancakes and french toast!!
PS: This is facinating this NaNoWriMo. This was the first I've heard of it.
For me it would never work because I just write when I've got an idea. I've never needed a deadline and I hate feeling pressured...of course when I sit to write it all just starts pouring out.
I'm finding it entertaining reading about everyone's craziness as they attempt 50,000 words in a month...Good luck to everyone!
Dave:
Have you been playing Star Trek with othr women? "Number One" eh?
heh heh
Beam you up
Commander Ryker??? I too have a photograph of me as Commander Ryker...(we had to experiment with hair and spirit gum in my stage makeup course in college.) LOL
Bear is such a cutie!
Congratulations!
You're to be commended for your courage.
