Oh Me Oh My, Where Have I Failed?
The Bear and I frequently have strange conversations, mainly because he is quite young, and says very unexpected things.
We were recently discussing that fact that he had turned 5, and I told him that I used to be 5 once just like him.
He replied, "no, you're a daddy."
I said, " I am now, but I used to be a little boy like you."
"But I'm big!"
"Yes, but someday you'll be bigger like me. and then you will be a daddy."
The Bear said, "Mama."
"Huh?"
"I want to be a mama."

Funny. Hey, nothing wrong with being a Mr. Mom.
Yeah!!!!
The MaMa won!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!
LOL!!!
When Spencer was only 2, he used to like to put on his sisters' dress-up skirts and dance to music. He called them "twirlers."
Eric still has painful flashbacks. And it bothers him to no end that Spencer's favorite color is pink.
(And no, our son doesn't wear dresses anymore. He's into pirates now, and cutting holes in Daddy with his plastic sword.)
That is just too funny - sorry, but it did lol..
Lol! What a cutie. I love the dress and jeans look. I hope it's coming back in style!
Now is my turn HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
Wait till he finds out what mama's have to go through then he'll be more than happy to be a daddy.
Which reminds me of a joke!
As soon as I remember the punch line I'll be back to tell it.
Whoosh, Got out of that one... Now, click here for anonymous...
Just surfed in and had to tell you i had fun looking around!!!
Blessings, Danna .. <><....
Dave, Dave, Dave,
Don't worry. Spencer wanted to wear dresses when he was 5. He loved to watch his sister's dresses twirl. Jill and I called them "twirlers."
I was not at all amused and started to read up on gender ambiguity.
Deal is, I was traveling every week, and his sister's ballet was fascinating him.
YUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!
Not that I do not like my girly whirlies in ballet, I do, I love it!
But my son saying he wanted a "twirler"!!!!!!!!
He got over it. He will be seven in March. HE is only making a very very occasional remark about a pretty dress.
Each time I cringe, but then realize he just may be trying to express his natural male attraction to that which is pretty.
I hope.....
My older son is absolutely girl crazy and totally male, so I am hopeful....
:)
Eric
The Bear is a big Dora the Explorer fan. I do my best not to hock a lung when it comes on.
A year ago for Christmas, all he wanted was Dora's talking house. He was so excited when he got it.
This past Christmas, it was given to his little girl cousin. He hasn't missed it.
He is more of a gamer than a toy player.
He has plenty boy qualities though. He has already master the gutteral belch. He laughs and laughs at "Pull my Finger". He loves the revolving foam dart gun he got for Christmas. He would run into have me cock it for him, then run and shoot his brother, then repeat it all about 500 times.
TWO!! Spencer was only TWO!!!!!!
Sheesh...
Awww. So cute. I agree with Shane that it is a compliment to your wife, but I wonder what it says about you, hon. ROTFL Luuuuvvvvvv you.
HA!! Kids say the darndest things!!
